So it’s now the 8th August and no Burying the Dragon, which was provisionally due to be published on the first of the month. The key word there is ‘provisionally’ as a date couldn’t be set in stone due to potential COVID-related problems.
And it has indeed happened that the Coronavirus pandemic has slowed down work on bringing the novel together. I don’t have a new date for publication just yet but it shouldn’t be too far off. Mobius Books and editor Shane Lindemoen are working hard to get everything ready.
The good news is I got to see the cover artwork the other day, created by the immensely talented Erik Wilson. I can’t show it off yet but I can say that it was worth the wait and I absolutely love it! It’s beautiful. (Note: the featured image of this post is NOT the cover, just a nice picture of a dragon’s head I took a while back at Castle Fraser in Aberdeenshire.)
There will hopefully be a cover reveal and a new publication date announced soon, which I will share when I know!
