Really happy to see my alien spy short story SECRET INGREDIENTS reappear in the new issue of Shoreline of Infinity!

First published in Issue 15 (2019), it was chosen to appear in this special collection for the launch of new Scottish sci-fi webzine SF Caledonia. Created by Shoreline’s founder and former editor, Noel Chidwick, SF Caledonia is to be a one stop shop for all things Scottish in the sci-fi world, celebrating authors who call Scotland home.

It’s a real honour to have my story picked from Shoreline’s incredible back catalogue to appear alongside such fantastic authors as Ken McLeod, Ely Percy, Rachel Plummer, and Laura Scotland. It also, to my delight, features one of my favourite ever Shoreline stories: ‘Oh Baby Teeth Johnny With Your Radiant Grin, Let’s Unroll on Moonlight and Gin’ by Cat Hellisen. Brilliant title, even better story, I’m psyched to share a space with it.

For my part, Secret Ingredients is about rival restaurants on a far off planet, inspired by my own time spent as a kitchen porter as well as reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain not long after he died.
