SPLAT!

It’s been an incredible year for me writing-wise. The publication of my debut novel Squeaky Clean has literally been a dream come true, something I’ve been working towards and hoping for for a very long time. Seeing it out on the shelf is a special moment that will stay with me forever.

For it to also win The MacIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year 2023 was mind-blowing. An honour. If publication was a dream then this was also one, a really, really wild one.

I’d just like to end the year with a thank you to everyone who has made it so special, from the reviewers and fellow authors who have said such kind things to everyone at Pushkin Vertigo and my agent Emily, without whom none of this would have happened. And, of course, my family whose support I couldn’t live without.

Lastly to the readers:

You fucking legends! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I’ll see you in 2024 for the paperback release, and a good few events and festivals 🙂
