Launching RAT RACE

It’s now just under a month until the final part of the McCoist trilogy is unleashed upon the world!

“A full-tilt sprint through the darkest edges of the Glaswegian criminal underworld” (Dave Goodman, A Reluctant Spy), the starting pistol will be going off at 7pm on 7th May at Waterstones Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow where I’ll be having a chat about the new book, RAT RACE, with my favourite lil bro Cailean Steed (Home).

My mum is, once more, making a cake. So come along, get a book and get a slice.

Once off the blocks, I’ll be getting out and about with a series of events to yak about marathons and McCoist:

14/5 7pm Waterstones Newton Mearns

22/5 7pm Waterstones Edinburgh – West End (w/ Dave Goodman)

28/5 7pm Far From the Madding Crowd, Linlithgow

11/6 6.15pm Waterstones East Kilbride (w/Iain Kelly)

25/6 7pm Topping & Co. Edinburgh

(With more to be added! Full up to date schedule is here.)

Would be lovely to see some of you there!

RAT RACE

DCI Alison McCoist is up to the oxters in Glasgow’s shadiest police unit, with a list of guilty secrets growing longer by the day.

Fran Forbes has just bolted from the scene of a gangland massacre with only a shite-stained tracksuit and a memory stick full of cryptocurrency to his name.

Ally is tasked with looking into this latest underworld rammy and ends up working with some bampots even dodgier than her polis pals. Can she keep Fran from being turned into mince by a Russian OCG and finally free herself from the fankle of police corruption she’s caught in? An enemy from Ally’s past is determined her story won’t have such a happy ending…

“Tough, gritty and carrying the unmistakeable cadences of the Glasgow streets, RAT RACE by Callum McSorley will more than please fans of the series.” – Douglas Skelton, Ship of Thieves

“Rat Race is a helter-skelter, relentless, epic finale… you will need your inhaler to keep up with this one.”- Nina Bhadreshwar, The Day of the Roaring

“Genuinely loved this one. Pacey, twisty and laugh out loud funny.”-Tariq Ashkanani, The Midnight King

“Raw, brutal, and monstrously funny …. Ally McCoist is as dodgy and reprehensible as ever, and all the more entertaining for it … Callum has knocked it out of the park again … The bastard …” – Neil Lancaster, When Shadows Fall

“A pacy and playful masterpiece that’ll whip you along for the ride of your life. ‘Rat Race’ is flush with serious fun, and is as inventive as it is immersive. Callum McSorley keeps proving himself to be the crime writer’s favourite crime writer, and a stand-out voice of the newest generation of tartan noir.” – Natalie Jayne Clark, The Malt Whisky Murders
