June events

Hola! The sun is here, it is summer! (Apologies if this statement brings down a snowstorm.)

I’m out and about most weeks this month chatting RAT RACE with some fantastic authors, would love to see you there!

Check it out:

Thursday 4th, 7pm – Daydreams Bookshop, Milngavie w/ Gordon Brown

One of my favourite new indie bookshops, Daydreams in Milngavie, where I’ll be chatting with acclaimed Scottish crime author and co-founder of Bloody Scotland, Gordon Brown (AKA Morgan Cry, The Fracture). Expect some top chat from Gordon!

Thursday 11th, 6.15pm – Waterstones East Kilbride w/ Iain Kelly

The hometown gig! I was born and bred in East Kilbride, so I’m very pleased to finally be doing an event in my local ‘Stones. I’ll be joined by fellow EK author Iain Kelly (The Barra Boy, Full Sun).

Saturday 20th, 7pm – The Book Nook, Stewarton w/ Martin Stewart

Oh yes, another of the country’s finest indie bookshops, winner of Scotland’s Independent Bookshop of the Year 2024 & 2025, The Book Nook, with my brother from another mother, multi-talented author of children’s books and crime novels and general raconteur Martin Stewart (Double Proof, Loose Threads). Always exciting to be probed by Martin!

Thursday 25th, 7pm – Topping & Co., Edinburgh

Second time lucky, Edinburgh. This time I’ll be at Toppings (a bookshop you could genuinely get lost in) chatting to top notch bookseller Andrew, who really knows his stuff!

RAT RACE

*THE TIMES CRIME BOOK OF THE MONTH – MAY 2026*

DCI Alison McCoist is up to the oxters in Glasgow’s shadiest police unit, with a list of guilty secrets growing longer by the day.

Fran Forbes has just bolted from the scene of a gangland massacre with only a shite-stained tracksuit and a memory stick full of crypto-currency to his name.

Ally is tasked with looking into this latest underworld rammy and ends up working with some bampots even dodgier than her polis pals.

Can she keep Fran from being turned into mince by a Russian OCG and finally free herself from the fankle of police corruption she’s caught in? An enemy from Ally’s past is determined her story won’t have such a happy ending…

“Beautifully plotted, chockful of shocks and oozing compassion, Rat Race is the perfect end to an outstanding trilogy. Filth has never been so fun.”

MARK SANDERSON, THE TIMES CRIME BOOK OF THE MONTH 2026

“…One of Britain’s most exciting new crime writers.”

MATT NIXSON, DAILY EXPRESS/DAILY MIRROR
