In Edinburgh there lives an awesome sci-fi magazine called Shoreline of Infinity. I sometimes write book reviews for it. Every month SoI hosts a free reading event, called Event Horizon.
Now, you’ve heard of peanut butter and chocolate, and you’ve heard of peanut butter and jam, let me introduce you to another of the world’s greatest flavour combinations: Shoreline of Infinity and Aether & Ichor.
Aether & Ichor is a fantasy webzine, also based in Edinburgh, that I edit stories for. On 10th May A&I will be taking over this month’s Event Horizon for a fantasy special.
Compered by A&I’s Eris Young, the night will feature Gerda Stevenson, Gordon Wilson and Callum Dougan – whose short story ‘Salt the Earth‘ appeared on A&I in February – among others.
It’s set to be a cracker and will kick off at 7.30pm at Frankenstein’s, 26 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh. (Plus, admission is free!)
