You there boy, what day is it!?

Why, it’s Christmas Day, sir!

That’s right, it’s 25th December, time to open presents, spend time with family, and stuff yourself with turkey, glazed ham, cranberry sauce, and all the brilliant extras! It is, as Andy Williams sang, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

But not for everyone. In my short story of the same name, a homeless woman, Leah, and her dog, Hera, are being stalked by something terrifying in the frozen night.

I’ll be reading an excerpt of this story — a modern version of a traditional Christmas ghost story — on Daytime Nightime  on Subcity Radio on Christmas Day (through the magic of pre-recording!) at 12.30pm.
