After a busy October I’ve got a few more events on this month!
I was gonna be involved in this gunpowder treason thing down south on the fifth but then Rutherglen Book Festival asked me to take part in their events at Rutherglen Library as part of the big Rutherglen 900 anniversary celebrations that day – and that was much more tempting!
I’ll be chatting to the inimitable Kirstin Innes about the Ally McCoist books and my links to Rutherglen. This is a free event, you just need to book a spot.
Next up, on the 18th, I’ll be chairing Foday Mannah at his event at Far From the Madding Crowd book shop in Linlithgow. I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Foday at Helensburgh Book Festival back in March. He was so interesting I could have gone on asking him questions for hours more so I’m stoked to get the opportunity to do just that! We’ll be talking about his book The Search for Othella Savage, one of my favourite debuts ever. Crime, religion, Sierra Leone, gender, immigration, education – it’s an incredibly rich story and I’m sure it will be a wide-ranging conversation.
That week also happens to be Book Week Scotland. Woop! For my part, I’m off to Denny Library in Falkirk on the 19th to talk about my books, maybe do some readings, do a little dance. All that. (Bonus, this is another free gig, just need to reserve your space.)
See you on the road!
